Fortunately the multiplayer servers are still live so PC2 limps on without corporate support, but it has lost some online features like downloadable setups and online hotlap functionality. There's a ray of light for PC2 fans, though - former Slightly Mad Studios CEO Ian Bell's working on a new game, GTRevival.

The SMS Formula A is an open wheel race car which is a fictional car that was manufactured by the fictional manufacturer, SMS. It's car class has the same name. It is based of the 2011 Formula 1 Cars from real life.

PC1's car handling model and track surface simulation aren't quite as sophisticated as PC2's so the cars do feel more planted and less lively. It wasn't at all bad and some perhaps prefer the extra grip.

It is also the last mainline instalment in the Project CARS series, as future development of the series was cancelled by Slightly Mad's owner, Electronic Arts, in November 2022.

However, in November last year, it was announced by Electronic Arts – which owns Slightly Mad Studios' parent company Codemasters – that all future development on Project CARS was being halted, effectively cancelling the next instalment.

PC2 is by far the more serious game – if you're looking for a simulation game where you can race in a similar manner to real racing, then this is the one to choose. If you're more of a casual gamer, then PC3 is more fun to spend blasting around in for an hour or so.

Slightly Mad Studios announced a month ago that Project Cars 2, one of the best racing sims ever, was being removed from Steam on September 21. I hope you were able to grab it if you wanted it, because today is the day and sure enough, it's gone.

When focusing on the main objectives, Project Cars 2 is about 26½ Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 97 Hours to obtain 100% completion.

Project CARS, which stands for Community Assisted Racing Simulator, was made with a total sum of $5 million. Funding for the game was raised by the community and the developers themselves, without the financial aid of a traditional publisher.

You can edit and create liveries and edit the tuning for each car, but you can't change the bodywork or visuals. All cars are unlocked from the start of the game, and each are upgraded fully with the best performance parts. This is very much a game focused on driving, not progression or levels.

You can customise the car setup as much as you want, but you don't buy upgrade parts. It's not really like any of the games you've listed, it's more like GTR2 or Race07.

Project CARS 2's tuning menus provide a very helpful Race Engineer option in which the game will come to a decision regarding how to tune your car for you, basing its decisions on your answers to simple questions relating to your driving and your perception of the car you're using.

In case this dude is serious though, all the cars are unlocked from the beginning of the game. Do Quickplay or private testing. all of them can be used at private testing, quickplay and championships. Once you get enough affinity with brands, you will unlock their events.
