Baby Registry Checklist

The article discusses the importance of having a baby registry checklist and provides a free printable PDF checklist in different colors and sizes. A baby registry checklist is a comprehensive list of items that parents-to-be can add to their registry to ensure they have all the essential items for their newborn.

Nursery

The nursery section of the checklist includes items such as a crib or bedside co-sleeper crib, crib mattress, fitted crib sheets, waterproof mattress covers, sleeping bags, baby monitor, diaper changing table or crib-top diaper changer, Moses basket or bassinet, blackout curtain, and a travel crib.

On the Go

The "On the Go" section includes items that are essential for traveling with a baby. These items include a car seat, stroller, rain cover for the stroller, front baby carrier or sling, sunshades for the car windows, warm blanket or bunting bag for winter strolls, and a diaper bag filled with essentials such as diapers, wipes, diaper cream, spare outfit, and portable changing mat.

Feeding

The feeding section of the checklist includes items such as bottles with newborn nipples, a bottle-cleaning brush or dishwasher basket, baby formula, nursing bras, nursing pads, cotton bibs, burp cloths, nipple cream, bottle sterilizer, insulated cooler/carrier for outings, bottle warmer, breast pump (dependent on health insurance), breast milk storage bags or containers, and a nursing pillow.

Baby Diapering

In the baby diapering section, the checklist suggests having either newborn-size disposable diapers or reusable diapers, a diaper pail, baby wipes, diaper rash ointment, waterproof changing pad, diaper bags for nappy disposal, and changing table pad covers.

Bathing / Health / Grooming

The bathing, health, and grooming section includes items such as hooded towels, washcloths, infant tub, baby wash, baby shampoo, faucet guard, bath toys, bath toy storage box, nail scissors/clippers/file set, baby comb and brush set, packs of muslin squares, and a thermometer.

Playtime

The playtime section suggests having a bouncer seat or infant seat, floor seat, activity mat, and developmental toys for the baby's entertainment and stimulation.

Baby Clothes / Layette

The checklist includes a section for baby clothes and layette items such as bodysuits/onesies/babygrows, T-shirts or tops, snap-up rompers, shirt and pant sets, cardigan sweater, hats (sun hat/winter hat), snowsuit for cold weather, booties and/or socks, diaper covers, and a set of baby hangers.

These are just some of the concepts covered in the article. If you have any specific questions or need more information on any of these topics, feel free to ask!
