Pine Knob Music Theatre - ranked among the top amphitheaters in the world - is located in Clarkston, Michigan. Pine Knob Music Theatre is a preferred venue for many of the nation's top touring acts. Can I bring my purse or backpack into the amphitheatre?
To uphold health and safety protocols, minimize contact and ensure a more seamless entry process, our venues have adopted a no bag policy.
- BAGS, PURSES & CLUTCHES LARGER THAN 4" x 6" x 1.5" ARE PROHIBITED.
- SINGLE COMPARTMENT BAGS, WALLETS & CLUTCHES SMALLERTHAN 4" x 6" x 1.5" WITH OR WITHOUT A HANDLE OR STRAP ARE PERMITTED.
- Exceptions to this policy include:
- Bags, wallets and clutches needed due to medical necessity.Medical necessity includeDiaper bags, Breast pumps,Oxygen,Insulin,Epi-pens and other medical devices.
Can I bring a chair? Are chairs available to rent?
- Guests are permitted to bring “beach style” chairs for most amphitheater shows. Camping chairs or chairs more than 12 inches from the ground to the bottom of the seat (when unfolded) are not permitted. Due to our no-bag policy, any bags that accompany chairs are not permitted. This is subject to change based on different tour or show requests.
- Lawn chairs are available for rent for $10 plus a $5 refundable deposit. Locations are inside the UWM West Entrance and near the Trinity Health VIP Entrance.
Can I bring food and drinks into the amphitheatre?
Outside food & beverage is not permitted.
What time do doors open for my event?
The doors for events at Pine Knob Music Theatre open 90 minutes before the scheduled show start. This is subject to change.
How do I get a Pine Knob Express Lane Pass?
A Pine Knob Express Lane Pass allows you to skip the general entrance lines, allowing for faster entry into the venue. The Pine Knob Express Lane passes are available for select shows, simply add them to your cart before you checkout on Ticketmaster. Passes are also available at the Ally Financial East Box Office. Enter at the Ally East Gate near the Ally East Box Office. Please note, the Pine Knob Express Lane Pass is NOT a concert ticket, DOES NOT ADMIT guests into the concert and DOES NOT PROVIDE early entry or any other amenities. Normal security protocols apply.
What is the smoking policy?
Smoking or the use of tobacco products isprohibitedin the pavilion, restrooms, premium areas, locations where food and/or beverages are sold and all indoor areas.
Can I bring a camera?
Generally, professional cameras, tablets, audio recorders and video recorders are not permitted at Pine Knob Music Theatre; this policy, however, is altered to accommodate the preference of the artist or show. To inquire if professional cameras, tablets, audio or video recorders are permitted for a particular event, please contact us at 313-471-7000. For select performances, a strict no camera policy will be enforced and guests will be informed.
When are set times for my event?
Set times for each show varies, and are subject to change.
How do I contact Lost And Found?
During an event, found items are turned into the Guest Services Offices in the Ally East & UWM West Plazas. Guests may inquire about items at any point during the event. After an event, guests can click this link to submit a missing item form.
Can I tailgate before my event?
Yes, guests are allowed to tailgate/picnic before most events. Alcohol is not allowed in the parking lot due to local township ordinances.
Where is the rideshare drop off and pickup?
Rideshare/Drop-Off is allowed in the UWM West Entrance Parking Lot parking lot. Vehicles must enter the South Drive and exit through Pine Knob Road.
To access the Rideshare/Pick-Up area, vehicles must enter the South Drive and enter their first left into the Rideshare Lot. Passengers will meet the rideshare near Pole Z.
Will the event be canceled due to inclement weather?
All events at Pine KnobMusic Theatre are “Rain or Shine” events. Only in extreme inclement weather are shows cancelled or postponed.We encourage you to check our social media channels and the 313Presents.com news section for updates.
How much is parking and what are the hours?
Parking fees are included in the ticket price. Parking lots open at 4:00 p.m. (for most shows) or 2 1/2 hours prior to a matinee show.
What is the amphitheatre's capacity?
15,040 Total (*6,189 pavilion, *8,851 lawn seats)
Where is Guest Services located?
The Guest Relations office and information booth is located directly inside the Ally East & UWM West Plazas.
Can I see the performers from the back of the pavilion or lawn?
There are two giant live-action video walls located on both sides of the stage and Three 9’ X 12’ video screens mounted on top of the rear of the pavilion for lawn patrons.
What is the Guest Code of Conduct?
Pine Knob Music Theatre is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests. To provide these types of experiences, we have standards and expectations for all guests and visitors. The Guest Code of Conduct outlines those expectations and policies.
- Treat everyone with respect and dignity by displaying proper etiquette as outlined below. Guests should refrain from any action that disrupts other guests' enjoyment of the event
- Do not engage in any unruly behavior, including obscene gestures, derogatory, vulgar, biased or abusive language directed at guests, venue personnel, artists, or anyone else. This includes the use of such language, actions or gestures concerning a person’s race, ethnicity, color, gender, religion, creed, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression or national origin; or to instigate, incite or encourage violence, a confrontation or threat of physical harm
- Refrain from wearing any clothing or displaying signage/products that contains obscene or indecent messages or signs. Pine Knob Music Theatre reserves the right to prohibit anything deemed inappropriate
- Do not fight, throw objects or attempt to enter or interfere with the performance area
- Consume alcoholic beverages responsibly and avoid intoxication, diminished capacity or impairment by alcohol or drugs. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages
- Sit only in your ticketed seat and show your ticket when asked by venue personnel
- Do not exit with the expectation to re-enter the venue after scanning of tickets
- Refrain from smoking in non-smoking areas
- Guests must comply with reasonable requests from venue personnel. Those who refuse may be subject to ejection without refund, revocation of season tickets and possible arrest and/or prosecution. Guests are encouraged to visit either Guest Services Office within the Ally East and UWM West plazas.

Do you offer sensory-friendly options?
Little Caesars Arena, the Fox Theatre, Pine Knob Music Theatre, Meadow Brook Amphitheatre, Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre and Comerica Park have partnered with and gained certification with KultureCity, making all events hosted at the venues sensory inclusive. This initiative promotes an accommodating and positive experience for all guests and fans with sensory needs. Event staff are trained by leading medical professionals on how to recognize guests with sensory needs and how to best handle a sensory overload situation.
Sensory bags, equipped with noise canceling headphones, fidget tools, and verbal cue card are available to all guests who may feel overwhelmed by the environment. Strobe cancelling glasses and weighted lap pads are also available. Guests wishing to check out sensory items must sign a waiver and leave a driver’s license or credit card, which will be returned upon receipt of the sensory items in the same condition. Sensory items are available at the Guest Service Office near the Ally East plaza and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and are provided free of charge.
