Vehicles are a necessity in GTA Online, as players need a means of transportation to traverse the expanse that is Los Santos. While every vehicle has something to offer, some stand above the rest. These vehicles excel in terms of performance, function, or other sought-after features.

Many vehicles in GTA Online have devastating weaponry, formidable defenses, or impressive stats overall. However, most require a downright exorbitant cost to obtain, which is often not worth the hefty price. The most desirable vehicles are well worth the cost and possibly more, as they offer the same benefits as more expensive ones for a fair price.

Thankfully, fans don’t necessarily have to wait a couple of months to engage in GTA’s crazy stories, as they can log into Grand Theft Auto Online to create their own riveting tales of high-octane chases, high-stakes heists, and high-risk criminal dealings. And for those who want to engage in crime in style, they can tour GTA Online in style with some of the series’ best vehicles.

34 Itali RSX

Top Speed: 133.82 mph (214.043 km/h)

When players go through the story of the “The Cayo Perico Heist” update in 2020, they get the opportunity to help install Moodymann as either the MC President or the VIP/CEO of The Music Locker. Doing this will unlock the Itali RSX from Legendary Motorsport, giving players access to one of the most stylish cars in the game.

Designed similarly to various Ferrari vehicles, specifically the SF90 Stradale for its body and the F8 Tributo and SP38 Deborah for its other components, the Itali RSX is notable in GTA Online for its aerodynamic design, specifically with the prevalence of vents and airways throughout its body. Its base stats make it ideal for standard racing due to its above-average acceleration, allowing it to outrace other Super Vehicle Class vehicles. It can also be equipped with an Ignition and Remote Bomb for offense.

33 Western Company Besra

Top Speed: 189.25 mph (304.57 km/h)

The Western Company Besra has an overall profile that boasts a long canopy and a sharp nose similar to that of the P-996 LAZER. In the real world, this design is reminiscent of the Aero L-39 Albatros and other military jet trainers. Players can acquire the aircraft in GTA Online via Elitas Travel, and it's made available through Pegasus Lifestyle Management.

When acquired in GTA Online, the Besra boasts excellent maneuverability and top speed. The Besra’s superb handling lets it handle complicated aerial stunts, with its rapid acceleration and deceleration allowing it to take off from and land on roads effortlessly.

32 sh*tzu Longfin

Top Speed: 122 mph (196.340 km/h)

Upon acquisition, it seems the real-world inspiration of the sh*tzu Longfin is the Magnun 44’ luxury speed boat, although its design in the game is akin to fellow GTA Online boats Squalo and Toro. While the majority of the Longfin’s design boasts a sleek and somewhat straightforward aesthetic, its true luster is seen in its cabin area with luxury wooden details. While players can find a Longfin in Cayo Perico, they cannot drive this variant of the boat. However, they can buy the Longfin via DockTease for $2.125M or for cheaper after completing the Cayo Perico Heist as the heist leader and using it as the approach vehicle.

Performance-wise, the Longfin is the fastest Civilian Boat in GTA Online. Players need to adjust to its wide turns by using the handbrake, while its large size makes it difficult to pass through canals and narrow rivers. It’s unadvisable to ride the Longfin past obstacles and during storms as its weight makes it likelier to flip.

31 Benefactor BR8

Top Speed: 122.75 mph (197.547 km/h)

Players interested in taking their racing game to new heights should grab the Benefactor BR8, essentially one of the few Formula 1-inspired cars in GTA Online gameplay. The vehicle’s design seems inspired by various F1 cars specifically from the Red Bull Racing Team, with some components borrowed from late 80s and early 90s race cars.

Performance-wise, the BR8 is the fastest open-wheel car for races. Its nature as an open-wheeler means it has excellent handling and braking, the latter of which can be used to manage difficult tight turns while accelerating. Despite the BR8’s excellent performance, it doesn’t allow players to use guns during drive-bys.

30 Mammoth F-160 Raiju

Top Speed: 232.50 mph (374.17 km/h)

Players who want to add a flair for the extreme to their GTA Online gameplay should probably save up to purchase the Mammoth F-160 Raiju. Inspired by the USAF’s Advanced Tactical Fighter and Joint Strike Fighter stealth fighter program, the Raiju can perform VTOL (vertical take-off and landing), which allows pilots to ride the aircraft with no need for runways. This alone can make its hefty 6.8-million dollar price tag all the more worthwhile, especially should players get it from Warstock Cache & Carry.

Performance-wise, the Raiju is the fastest aircraft in the E&E and Enhanced versions of GTA Online. It also boasts the best handling compared to other aircraft, beating the Pyro and LF-22 Starling in terms of base acceleration. Its smaller frame makes it more maneuverable, allowing players to get into tighter spots. Its only setback is packing similar defenses as an ordinary aircraft, although its stealth mode allows it to fly undetected by enemy radars.

29 JoBuilt P-996 Lazer

Top Speed: 195.00 mph (313.82 km/h)

The JoBuilt P-996 Lazer has a more “traditional” jet appearance compared to other vehicles in Grand Theft Auto Online, making its design more akin to the F-16C Fighting Falcon with design elements from the F-20 Tigershark, Lockheed Martin X-35, and even a Eurofighter Typhoon. In turn, the vehicle does boast the third-highest top speed in the game while also having remarkable maneuverability that makes its 6.5-million dollar price point worthy of the investment.

However, the P-996 Lazer might be too responsive for pilots, making it a tough aircraft to maneuver for beginners. It doesn’t help that the P-996 Lazer is more vulnerable compared to most planes that don’t have armor upgrades, and its lack of defenses against locked-on missiles means players need to use the plane’s innate handling to dodge them. The aircraft does come with Missiles and a Cannon to fight off foes, both of which perform decently well, especially when players try to outmaneuver other pilots.

28 Bravado Police Gauntlet Interceptor

Top Speed: 96.31 mph (155.00 km/h)

The Bravado Police Gauntlet Interceptor has obvious design inspirations from the Florida Highway Patrol’s slate of police cars, specifically the Highway Patrol Dodge Challenger. This basis for the GTA vehicle is fitting, as the Gauntlet Interceptor itself is an off-shoot of the Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire that is seemingly inspired by the Dodge Challenger SRTs Demon and Hellcat.

In the case of the Gauntlet Interceptor, a player's GTA Online experience with the vehicle would find the car an imposing depiction of a state trooper-esque pursuit car. With these design elements in mind, this police vehicle can be a must-have despite its hefty 5.4-million dollar price tag. Despite its lack of wide-ranging features, the police aesthetic and the wide array of police paraphernalia inside the vehicle can make roleplaying sessions more engaging with the Gauntlet Interceptor.

27 Buckingham Swift Deluxe

Top Speed: 157.75 mph (253.87 km/h)

One way of attaining luxury in Grand Theft Auto Online gameplay would be the acquisition of the online title’s more expensive vehicles, with the Buckingham Swift Deluxe being a decent find for its hefty 5.1-million dollar price tag. Its inclusion in the “Ill-Gotten Gains Part 1” update is fitting for its appearance, as the Swift Deluxe is a modified Swift with gold plating with black stripes.

Such is its “luxury” appeal that it can’t be modded to change equipment, and instead boasts a more posh interior. Passengers no longer use their phones and instead drink champagne, while the interior has a coffee machine, leather seats, and a large television screen. It boasts faster take-off speeds and handling, although it seems weaker compared to its original counterpart.

26 Mammoth Thruster

Top Speed: 99.42 mph

Why settle for a vehicle when Grand Theft Auto Online stretches the limits of personal transport with the Mammoth Thruster, which is essentially a jetpack? Released during The Doomsday Heist, this vehicle consists of a seat with leg and footrests and pre-requisite joystick steering from both armrests. The seat itself rests on the capsule-like body that has essential parts such as seat belts and what appears to be the main engine. On both sides of the capsule are nozzles that presumably roar while the jet pack is running.

Despite its rather bare-bones appearance, the Mammoth Thruster is capable of vehicular combat. Players can equip this vehicle with dual weapons between missile launchers and miniguns. The Mammoth Thruster also boasts incredible speed. Moreover, it could be equipped with countermeasures to temporarily stop vehicles from locking onto the Thruster (Chaff) or disorient missiles (Flare).

25 Grotti X80 Proto

Top Speed: 100.04 mph

At first glance, the Grotti X80 Proto resembles concept cars that showcase the potential “future” in vehicles without making it to dealerships. This was a quip also featured in its description, with the Grand Theft Auto game describing the X80 Proto as the result of putting an 8-year-old in charge of R&D. Comedy aside, the X80 Proto is loosely based on the Ferrari F80 and marks the first time a concept hypercar appears in the game.

Debuting in the Further Adventures in Finance and Felony update, the X80 Proto boasts an iconic sharp central “point,” fenders and intakes that reveal open sections of the chassis, and a relatively skeletal rear. Its unique design extends to its operation, as the X80 Proto is hailed as one of the game’s best-performing cars. Its acceleration is only defeated by the likes of the Krieger and Emerus, while its open sections make it more defensively lacking.

24 Imponte Ruiner 2000

Top Speed: 94.45 mph

The sleek design of the Imponte Ruiner 2000 makes the muscle car stand out from others. Its heavy black base and red missile tips protruding from where its headlights should make the Ruiner 2000 quite imposing - which is likely its intention, considering its basis on the Pontiac Trans Am (KITT) from Knight Rider.

In-universe, the Ruiner 2000 is a more modern take on the classic Ruiner, this time boasting a more evident nose and pop-up headlights. Similar to its inspiration, the Ruiner 2000 could be outfitted with various weaponry, such as machine guns and homing missiles on the front bumper. While its performance is that of a standard-fare muscle car, the Ruiner 2000 is a must-have for its special abilities: a deployable parachute to make safer falls and a power hop with a distance of 4-5 meters.

23 RO-86 Alkonost

Top Speed: 174.92 mph

Crime lords in popular media are often depicted with private jets that take them anywhere they want, but the RO-80 Alkonost in Grand Theft Auto Online gameplay proves a strategic bomber may be a sleeker option. Debuting in the Cayo Perico Heist update, this bomber takes a similar tail shape as the Rockwell B-1 Lancer and the overall form of the Tupolev Tu-160. The vehicle is notable for its angular wings, a cruciform tail, and a large enough interior that makes the Alkonost more spacious than most bombers.

Due to its size, players can have difficulty taking off or landing with the aircraft. However, its overall layout makes the Alkonost easier to maneuver mid-air compared to the Volatol and the RM-10 Bombushka. Despite its limited defenses, the Alkonost has an auto-activating stealth mode that renders it invisible to radars at a certain height - at least until visually spotted. Other countermeasures include temporary anti-lock-ons (Chaff) and disorienters (Flare, Smoke) that may help players survive unless they use some of the game’s impractical weapons.

22 Declasse Scramjet

Top Speed: 99.42 mph

Fans of Speed Racer who appreciate the series' take on curvy future-tech cars may want to grab the Declasse Scramjet as part of their collection of cars. This rather expensive Grand Theft Auto Online vehicle debuted in the After Hours update, giving players one of the most visually stunning cars in the game. On top of bearing an obvious resemblance to Speed Racer’s Mach Five, the Scramjet is also inspired by concept cars from the 50s and 60s.

Its sleek design contributed to its overall performance, giving it decent marks on speed and acceleration, as well as breaking and handling. Despite its lack of defense, the Scramjet does have an 8-meter power hop and a 2.25-second rocket-propelling booster. It can even be equipped with machine guns or missiles, making for a deadly but stylish vehicle of choice.

21 Ocelot Pariah

Top Speed: 96.37 mph

Players who want to spice up their Grand Theft Auto Online gameplay with a bit of realism on the side won’t go wrong with the Ocelot Pariah. Bearing a resemblance to the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato and the Ferrari Portofino, the Ocelot Pariah is a sleek representation of “sports” among sports cars. Its simple design makes it ideal for a first sports car, with its unimposing nature perfect for players who want to “blend in.”

However, the Pariah is still leagues apart from its other contemporaries in terms of performance. Among the other sports cars, the Pariah can perform better than other popular contenders such as the Jugular, Neo, and the Elegy RH8. Interestingly enough, the Pariah’s excellence in smoother tracks and straight routes leaves much to be desired for turning and cornering, which is where the likes of the Imorgon, Neon, and Comet SR shine.

20 Pegassi Weaponized Ignus

Top Speed: 99.57 mph

The Pegassi Weaponized Ignus is an upgraded and more lethal version of the original Pegassi Ignus. Building upon the Pegassi design principles of heavy curves, vents, and sharp edges, the Ignus variant takes inspiration from Lamborghini cars. This time around, the vehicle boasts more carbon fiber and LED parts as well as a prominent roof-mounted turret that gives it a stylish flair.

Compared to its sporty original counterpart, the Weaponized Ignus has a sleeker feel to it. Players who want to level up their Grand Theft Auto Online gameplay may appreciate how the Weaponized Ignus feels like a James Bond car, especially when they’re challenged to make shots count with their Minigun while dealing with the car's rather weak defense.

19 Nagasaki Shotaro

Top Speed: 99.11 mph

Going futuristic is the theme of the Nagasaki Shotaro, a motorcycle-based heavily on the Lotus C-01 concept car with a design scheme following Tron: Legacy’s Light Cycles. As a result, the Shotaro boasts a low-profile body kit with identical-sized wheels alongside a round motif for much of its physical features. The vehicle is one of the more futuristic-looking motorcycles in the current roster of Grand Theft Auto games.

However, the Shotaro’s future-leaning aesthetic isn’t purely for visuals. Its performance numbers make it viable to compete with other sporting motorcycles, especially the likes of the Hakuchou Drag, which is often the bike of choice for races. The Shotaro’s high acceleration and top speeds can let it dash through courses easily, with effective handling making it ideal for tight corners and complicated tracks.

18 TM-02 Khanjali

Top Speed: 35.42 mph

Players who want to prove their supremacy in Grand Theft Auto Online gameplay may want to lean away from the usual sports cars and instead go for the offense. Why rely on a car when there’s a tank like the TM-02 Khanjali to outclass most other combat-ready vehicles? Featured in The Doomsday Heist update, the Khanjali bears a striking resemblance to the PL-01 Polish light tank with a stealth motif.

Its polygon-esque design makes it quite the stylish choice for a combat vehicle. However, it’s not exactly race-worthy, either, as its off-road capacity isn’t going to make up for its severe lack of speed. Combat-wise, an upgraded Khanjali can be just as nimble but much more durable than the popular Rhino Tank. Moreover, its multiple seating capacity also paves the way for more weapon choices, making it a devastating vehicle in most combat scenarios.

17 Buckingham Luxor Deluxe

Top Speed: 202.69 mph

Nothing screams a criminal mastermind than having their own private jet, and the Buckingham Luxor Deluxe proves even a crimelord can enjoy flying in style. Essentially a gold-plated variant of the Cessna-inspired Luxor, the Luxor Deluxe boasts a more stylish and detailed interior with more fashionable seats. The presence of drinking cups, an ashtray with cigarettes, and even a bottle of champagne signifies the plane is a place where meetings are conducted.

Performance-wise, the Luxor Deluxe enjoys better braking but suffers in terms of acceleration and handling. Due to its nature as a passenger craft, the Luxor Deluxe remains the least maneuverable aircraft in the game for beginner players. In turn, while the Luxor Deluxe is indeed attractive for cruising around with friends and roleplaying, it’s not as worthwhile for anything action-oriented.

16 BF Ramp Buggy

Top Speed: 93.21 mph

The Ramp Buggy is a vehicle that many people have been hesitant to buy, but some get a taste of its power from the mission involving it. The Ramp Buggy is fast and deadly despite not having any weapons. No matter what vehicle the Ramp Buggy goes up against, it can toss it aside. This is why it is among the most popular vehicles among GTA Online fans.

Other vehicles with ramming capabilities like the Phantom Wedge and even Arena War vehicles do not stand a chance against the Ramp Buggy. Despite lacking a heavy and powerful frame, this vehicle will leave anything on four wheels in its dust. Although somewhat impractical and comical in function, the Ramp Buggy is undeniably one of the best vehicles to own in GTA Online.

15 Mammoth Patriot Mil-Spec

Top Speed: 79.54 mph

​​​​​​The Patriot Mil-Spec is a phenomenal vehicle, as it offers much more than other off-roading machines of GTA Online. This vehicle is capable of climbing hills, mountains, and other unruly surfaces with remarkable ease. The Patriot Mil-Spec's off-roading prowess is perfect for making impractical getaways and taking unconventional routes. The outstanding potential of this machine does not end there, however.

The Patriot Mil-Spec has access to weapons, armor, and even Imani Tech upgrades introduced in the Contract update. Thus, allowing players to bolster the antagonistic abilities of this vehicle, which is necessary considering the prevalent hostility of GTA Online players. With Imani Tech, players can equip the Patriot Mil-Spec with powerful upgrades such as a Remote Control Unit or a Missile Lock-on Jammer. The overall capabilities of this machine make it one of the best vehicles of its class.
